POTENTIAL PROJECT C
GREEN STREET -
BARTHOLOMEW FROM N. MIRO TO N. DORGENOIS
OWNER - NEW ORLEANS DPW
Project C proposes using a combination of curb extensions and adding underground drainage will help to manage stormwater. The curb extensions will have rain gardens to store and filter stormwater runoff and then will drain into the underground drainage pipes that connect to the SWBNO system. Similar systems can be seen in the St. Roch neighborhood on N. Villere Street.

The image with the green hexagons is from the drainage model and shows the improvements gained from implementing the potential project. As you can see, the benefits are not restricted to the area around the project, but cascade through the drainage system as a whole.
