Bywater Sportsfield, located at Stallings Recreation Center, is under CNO jurisdiction, is managed by NORD, and is located within a moderately flooded area. We propose adding a large stormwater storage tank to this existing park to reduce flooding in the neighborhood.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
-
A large underground stormwater storage tank, into which stormwater will be diverted from the existing drainage system for storage during the rain event, then slowly released back into the system following the event. This will reserve capacity in the existing system and allow other adjacent areas to more freely drain into the existing system and help reduce flooding throughout the neighborhood.
-
Several depressed areas will be developed. These areas will be dry during normal conditions but will provide stormwater storage during a rain event to further assist with flood reduction in the adjacent neighborhood.
-
New Playground and seating areas
-
Skate Park
-
Stage/Meeting area with a large grass area for neighborhood events.
